Bike Fitting...goooood!!!!

Hey all! Well, just a quick share of a friend of mine Leif, goofing around at his shop back in Colorado. I find this pic amusing due to the fact that it to me, depicts that some cyclists out there take everything way too seriously (not necessarily this guy pictured).  Listen, we all want our bikes to ride great, comfortable, and efficient. Hell, bike fitting is a GOOD thing and you should have your bike fitted by a professional bike fitter. Trust that your bike fit will be done correctly and professionally and leave it at that. Don't obsess, RIDE YOUR BIKE and Enjoy. Aren't we riding bikes because we love to??? This pic is funny because, it's just my friend depicting "the Coach" who takes his job way too seriously. We have all had one of those at some point in our lives, right? Again, bike fitting is a great thing, find a certified bike fitter to do the work and enjoy! UNO Bicycle Studio offers fit services for all types of bikes. Oh, we are certified too! :-) Call for an appointment today! Cheers and have a great New Year!

AHHHH Christmas.

First off, a Merry Christmas to all of you out there. UNO Bicycle Studio hopes you had a great 2009 and have an even better 2010! It has been a bit since the last post, and for that, I apologize. Hey! It's the holiday season and I have been busy with all of that stuff!

I thought I'd share this picture of a very good friend of mine Mark, who is a cycling fanatic back in Colorado. In 2009, Mark purchased 4 or 5 bikes from me and for that I was greatful. Mark's a single dude, no kids, but in the Christmas spirit none the same. I received this picture from Mark and thought, "I have to post this on my blog!" The picture is stockings hung with care. The trick here is that those stockings are labled with the names/models of the bikes that Mark purchased from me! Mark bought a Seven Mudhoney, and a Seven Alaris from me as well as a few others! So what does Mark do? He makes stockings for his "kids"...or his bikes!!! Mark, you are the man! We DO love our bikes don't we? Well, now for the shameless plug part, when you get a bike from UNO, YOU DO WALK AWAY WITH A BIKE YOU'LL LOVE! Just ask Mark. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Festivus, Kwanzaa, etc!!! P.S. I'll post more soon...I swear!

Endless Possibilities.

At UNO Bicycle Studio, when it comes to building a bicycle of your dreams, there are endless possibilities. For instance, take this beautiful Sycip that I built up for the Studio's showroom floor. Jeremy Sycip put together this one-off Fixie frame with the very retro bent curved top tube and seat stays with middle tube representing as well! The bike has 120 rear axle spacing and is equipped with Surly Track hubs, Velocity Deep V Checker rims, Campagnolo Record Track Crank, Phil Wood BB, San Marco Regal saddle, Thomson post, All City grips, and the way, a custom one piece handle bar/stem combo, also built by the Master Sycip!!! Paint by Spectrum in Colorado Springs! I am unofficially calling it the "Ska Bike". Think of the incredible SKA band, The Specials, and you'll get the jist. A big shout out to Jeremy Sycip for making this happen. The Studio is truly privileged to carry Sycip bikes! This is a taste (mind you, a big one), of what can be achieved here at UNO Bicycle Studio. I will share more cool bikes as they come along and other cool product as well. Namaste.

Welcome to Tucson, get ready to ride!

Well...UNO Bicycle Studio is open for business here in Beautiful Tucson, Arizona! After living and working in the Denver area for 12 or so years and having UNO Bicycle Studio open there for the last 3, we (my wife and I) decided to move to Tucson to be closer to family and we took the Studio with us as well! I grew up here in Tucson, and also worked in the bike business here for many, many, years and we are back...for good.
Here is a shot of the brand new UNOMOBILE! The car was done by Blue Media in Tempe, AZ. and we look forward to cruising it around Tucson and using it for cycling related events around the State. Lemme know what ya think!
I look forward to working with you bike crazy folks here in Tucson and getting you on some sweet, sweet rides. I will post pics of the Studio, bikes we carry and have built, and commentary from time to time. I hope you enjoy the official blog of Uno Bicycle Studio, "Dos Wheels"!! Welcome!
